Plum Alley Day: May 27th, 2017
This annual event is a favorite for residents & visitors alike. The historic Plump Alley that runs between Main & Valley Streets is closed for multiple activities for guest to enjoy. The day is fun-filled with something for all ages from yard sales, music, dancing & a variety of kid-friendly activities.

Abingdon Farmer’s Market: Open Year Round, Summer hours: Tuesdays (3PM-6PM) & Saturdays(8AM-1PM)

Bike/Hike on the VA Creeper Trail
This 34 mile trail is popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. It is open year round for hiking, biking or horse back riding. Stretching from Abingdon through Damascus to its highest point at Whitetop (near the NC line), the trail offers beautiful scenery and a chance to relax and unplug.
