The infographic is a great snapshot of how Washington Co., VA and Sullivan Co., TN residential real estate markets have performed month over month for Jan. 2016 compared to December 2015 as well as compared to Jan. 2015.
Overall, year over year, comparing 2015 to 2014, the Washington Co. VA residential market total # of sales increased by 15% (from 311 to 364 units according to SWVAR MLS). The median sales price increased 4% from $146,562 to $152,750.
In Sullivan Co., TN, the residential market total # of sales increased by 9% (from 1402 to 1548 units according to NETAR MLS). The median price range increased year over year by $100 to $135,000.
Therefore, even though the snapshot shows a monthly downward trend, 2015 was a great year overall in both counties and we are currently experiencing an early Spring Market with many sales to report in our next update!
