It’s hard to believe that it’s almost July already…2017 is flying by. As we enter into the new month, there are many local events happening to celebrate Independence Day. There is something for everyone whether you’re just traveling through the area or call the area home. Check out these events to enjoy music, fireworks & more!
Abingdon Independence Day Extravaganza: Saturday, July 1st from 4 PM- 9:30 PM at the Abingdon Farmer’s Market
The event will start with a presentation of the rich history of Abingdon in relation to the Revolutionary War along with various activities for the kids and food trucks for delicious snacks. The live music will begin at 6 PM with the firework finale around 9:15 PM. Click for more info on the event.
Damascus Independence Day Celebration: Monday, July 3rd from 6 PM – 10 PM at Damascus Town Park
The event will offer food vendors, live music by PHANTOM starting at 7 PM & an ending fireworks show by Manuel’s Fireworks. Click for more info.
Independence Day Parade/Bristol Star Spangled Border Bash: Tuesday, July 4th starting at 5 PM
Come out for a fun-filled evening on the 4th of July with a parade, music, fireworks & more! The Independence Day parade will begin at 5 PM followed by live music during Border Bash at Cumberland Square Park starting at 6:30, with 2 great bands scheduled. Pepsi Independence Day Celebration in Johnson City, TN: Tuesday, July 4th begins at 5 PM
This annual event is one locals look forward to each year with live music, vendors & an amazing fireworks show by Pyro Shows. Click for more info and event schedule.
Glade Spring Fireworks: Saturday, July 8th at the Glade Spring Town Square
